Environment

In 1997, a well-established environmental services firm hired Mecfor to design and manufacture a Mobile Building to improve the management and burial of residual waste. With its partners, Mecfor designed a building that is equipped with a powerful traction system to travel across large distances and to climb the steep hills formed by accumulated waste.

The building is also equipped with retractable track-laying bases, as one entrance of the building may be at a different level than the other side's door (elevation difference of up to 13 ft higher) when it is travelling across a slope. This Mobile Building is one of the largest crawler-tracked vehicles in the world.

Mecfor's robots may also be used during industrial waste management operations to transfer and clean recyclable material in processing facilities. Our equipment are designed for heavy-duty usage and can easily be adapted to haul all types of residue and industrial material.
